Start a New Certificate
- Log in and click "New Certificate" on the dashboard
- Select "Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)" from the Electrical category
- Choose an auto generated certificate number or enter a custom one

Details and Purpose (Tab 1)
- Select a saved client or enter new client details
- Enter the installation address, premises type and estimated age
- Choose the reason for the report: periodic inspection, change of tenancy, sale of property or another reason
- Describe the extent covered and any agreed limitations

Supply and Earthing (Tab 2)
- Select the earthing arrangement (TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and others)
- Enter supply details: voltage, phases, Ze, PFC, PSC
- Record main switch details and protective conductor sizes

Inspection Schedule (Tab 3)
- Work through the 55 inspection items across 7 categories
- Mark each item as Y (pass), N (fail), N/A (not applicable) or LIM (limitation)
- Use "Mark all N/A" per category for sections that do not apply
- Tip: complete this tab on site while inspecting

Observations and Codes (Tab 4)
- If you marked items as "N" (fail), click "Generate observations" to auto create observation cards
- Each observation needs a location, description and classification code (C1, C2, C3 or FI)
- Use the regulation reference picker (search icon) to find the relevant BS 7671 regulation
- C1 and C2 items automatically require the overall assessment to be "Unsatisfactory"

Test Results (Tab 5)
- Add your distribution boards (designation, location, type)
- Add circuits within each board (19 test fields per circuit)
- Use "Duplicate Last Circuit" to copy cable and device details for similar circuits

Declaration (Tab 6)
- Select the overall assessment: Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory
- Set the recommended next inspection date
- Verify your engineer details (auto filled from your profile)
- Check your electronic signature is displayed

Submit and Download
- Click "Complete Certificate"
- Preview the PDF, then download or share it
- Create an invoice for the job if needed
Helpful Tips
- The app autosaves every 10 seconds, so your work is protected even if you lose connection
- Use the BS 7671 Quick Reference button (bottom right) to look up Zs values, cable ratings and RCD requirements while filling the form
- You can duplicate this EICR later for repeat inspections at the same property
